The Leavers assembly on Monday 6th November was energetic, fun and a great way for staff, students and families to celebrate and acknowledge the Leeming SHS ESC 2023 graduating students. Students began their journey in 2018 with some students joining along the way. Congratulations to our year 12’s, they have worked so hard to achieve positive post school pathways through employment, independent travel, community connections and friendships. It was a lovely final assembly, and I would like to thank the year 12 students for the gift presented to the school, mascot Tarak representing our school values: unity, self-responsibility, teamwork, achievement and respect. On behalf of Leeming SHS ESC students and staff, I would like to wish our year 12 students all the very best for their future endeavours.
As our leavers are enjoying their last few weeks of school, our new 2024 year 7’s have been enjoying their transition into high school. The transition program started on Wednesday 25th October and will conclude on Wednesday 15th November. A very warm welcome to all our new students and families, I enjoyed meeting you at the Parent Information morning tea and getting to know students during transition as they become familiar with staff and their new school environment.
On Tuesday 21st November at 11:30am, families are invited to visit classrooms, where students will showcase their programs and achievements for the 2023 school year. This will be followed by an Annual Open Meeting, from 12:45 – 2:00pm, the School Board, staff and students will provide an overview of the achievements and highlights of the 2023 school year. We look forward to seeing families and celebrating as a school community.
Congratulations to Samuel Seaman who was awarded the Ampol Best All Rounder Award at the Leeming SHS and Leeming SHS ESC Year 12 Final Assembly on Friday 13th October. The award recognises the all-round contributions a student has made to their school and community. Samuel was recognised for his school achievements and his commitment to Bush Ranger and Army Cadets.
The launch event of the LSHS ESC Alumni was held on Saturday, 11 November at Piney Lakes Reserve. We had an amazing turn out, with over 100 ex-students, families and staff in attendance. There were fun games and activities, as well as a large assortment of food for everyone to enjoy. A huge thank you to Dawn Barker for coordinating such a successful launch event. If you are interested in assisting with the coordination of our future Alumni events, please contact our Administration Office.

On Friday, 27th October, students and staff partied the night away at the Halloween Disco. The costumes were amazing and everyone had a great night. A big thank you to Maitlin Cutts and the committee for coordinating such an amazing event.

Below is some artwork that Ezra Cuming's created for our 'lot' at the Willetton Community Garden. Nice work Ezra!

Welcome to Term 4! This is my last official newsletter entry for this year!
We’ve been busy with carnivals, cooking up treats every Friday, learning Hockey in Phys Ed and finishing up our P-Units in English and Maths. The students have all continued to work hard in their Work Placements this term, honing their skills and preparing themselves for next year! It’s surreal to think that these young men will technically be in Year 12 in less than a few months!

I am extremely lucky to have had the pleasure of teaching this class for the second time in their high school life and it has been such a wonderful year with them all. I have enjoyed watching them grow academically and socially, spreading their wings at work and making solid friendship groups that I hope will go beyond school. I am incredibly proud of each of them.
I’m confident in handing over the ESC 1 reigns to Mr David Morgan, who will be teaching this amazing group for the next 6 weeks. He has some incredible things planned and I hope the rest of the term will be filled with fun and laughter!
I look forward to visiting next year, with two babies in tow!
Ms Caitlyn Knox
Functional Numeracy: Students have been working on different areas of mathematics (such as practising their times tables, skip counting, and writing numbers to 120 and beyond as well as investigating numbers at various levels of difficulty) according to their individual needs. They enjoy the routine of having the opportunity to work independently. As money maths and time make up our priority skill areas for this term, students explored working with different values of coins and notes and using their prior knowledge of skip counting by 2s, 5s and 10s to add simple amounts of money. The provision of authentic learning experience through our Community-Based Learning program has added a practical dimension to their comprehension of various components of money and measurement skills. For example, they have been learning to use the Commonwealth Bank ATM (Automated Teller Machine) to withdraw money and the scale at the groceries area of Coles supermarket. They greatly treasured the opportunity to put their skills into practise in a real-life situations.
Functional Literacy: Students functional literacy capabilities were on display as each student wrote letters to staff and parents, addressed an envelope, went to Cockburn Post Office, lined up with other community members and posted their letters to their respective addresses. It was so impressive to see our students engaging with post office staff in discussions about their intention to post their letters. Thus, transferring the skills learned in the classroom into the community. The excitement and enthusiasm they exuded as they participated in activities of daily living were indeed infectious!
Community Based Learning (CBL): The authentication of learning adds tremendous value to students’ comprehension of the contents being taught. The CBL program richly provides the avenue for students to consolidate their learning of time, and money while at the same time promoting their reading, speaking and listening skills in the community. Students also had opportunities to interact with members of the community and advance their road crossing awareness skills. Additionally (as part of their CBL involvement this term), students employed the Transperth Journey Planner to plan their trips (including departure time, bus number, Mandurah train line, and arrival time). These activities served to enhance students’ confidence, protective behaviour and social skills in manifold ways. Their most favourite CBL activity is the opportunity to order their lunch and sit at a restaurant eating with members of the public.

Endurance Enoma
It is hard to believe that we are already halfway through the last term for this year.
This term we have been reading and listening to Dreamtime Stories in our Literacy Program. Apart from responding to questions and sequencing the stories, students also got to collaborate with their peers and made group art projects. They also collected information about the different animals and created a poster of their findings.
The topic for Math this term is Data and Measurement. We have been learning to use tally to record their findings and used this information to create bar charts. Our students really enjoyed the process of creating their own bar charts on their chosen topic using Microsoft Excel.
This term has also seen us commence our work experience placements, and we are extremely proud of how well each student has transitioned to their roles. We have students working across a variety of industry areas including retail, warehousing and community services. Our wonderful students demonstrated great work readiness skills by ensuring they look presentable and proactively set up their work folder and go through their checklist prior to leaving school. The ASDAN Workright program has certainly given them the opportunity to learn many useful skills such as teamwork, safety, punctuality, timeliness and developing respectful relationships. It is heart warming to see our students learning to generalise those skills in their new work sites. Here are some photos from work experience program.

Ms Parwani, Ms Sherlock, Ms Klahorst and Mrs Shivers
This term students visited Bibra Lake Reserve and Yanchep National Park, with a focus on seasonal indicators, reading information signs and distinguishing the similarities and difference of recreational and conservational values in Regional and National Parks. Learning to soak in the tranquil environment and involving themselves in these projects has given the students a sense of belonging and spiritual connection to the land that supports overall positive health and wellbeing.

On Community Access Learning students travelled on public transport to Southlands Shopping Centre and engaged in orientation of the local Leeming area.
The highlight so far this term has been observing the students transfer their learning and skills into their work placements and rising to the challenges. They have been resilient with this change of routine and are excelling with the challenge.
Here are the student’s reflections on their placements for the term so far:
Ethan - I enjoy the Success Library because I like to read, and it is a quiet place to do that. My favourite job is putting away the returned DVD's. The best part about the library is it is a quiet place to work.
Ari - I like working at Success Library because it is a quiet place. I like reading books and putting the books back on the shelves.
Tehzeeb - I like shredding the paper. I like working at Brandon’s Shredding.
Sheona - At my workplace, I enjoy unpacking the boxes, stacking the shelves, and rotating the meat in the fridge. I like working with Thomas and Ms Palma and learning new skills in my workplace at IGA.
Jai - At Bentley Garden, I like planting lots of vegetables and watering the plants.
Willem - This term, I am working at Citiplace in the City. I like working with the kitchen crew and spending time in the break room.
Brock - At my IGA workplace, I like stacking the shelves with stock. I like working in a team with my supervisor and friend, Evan.
Just like that we’re almost at the end of the year! Where has the time gone? It feels like just yesterday that I was only meeting the boys from ESC5 for the first time. The start of term has seen a change of staff in our class and we welcome Mr El Chami until the end of the year. He transitioned into the class seamlessly and is a great addition to the team. We started off the term with an excellent day out at the ESSN Carnival. Even though it was such a warm day , the class all had a fantastic time. The start of term four has also seen the class begin a new CBL destination at Southlands Boulevard. Students have been orientating themselves around the centre to find our ‘safe place’ and important shopping landmarks that help improve their independence. The class are showing growing confidence in their transport skills, by tagging on and off the bus and being aware of their surroundings to anticipate when to push the button to stop.
The year 8 students have been learning about resource recovery and how we can be better at sorting our waste at home. All three classes were invited out to the resource recovery group in Canning Vale to see where our recyclable waste goes and how it is sorted. Not only the students but the staff were very impressed and shocked by the scale of the operation and the amount of waste that is brought to the centre on a daily basis.
We look forward to finishing out the term on a positive note!
Mr Brett Limpus
The start of term 4 has flown by in ESC 6. We have had a very busy start to term including the ESSN Carnival, a Waste Management incursion and CBL to a new shopping centre. At the ESSN Carnival we were very proud of all our students who participated in a range of different sporting events. A big congratulations to Isabel on her participation award for the day. We have also seen Sarah, Grace and Ruby E head off to an inter-school netball carnival where they had a lot of fun. We are also excited to welcome a teaching student, Miss M, to our class for the next 3 weeks. We are looking forward to learning from her and helping her on her journey towards being a teacher.
On CBL we have been going to Southlands Shopping Centre. We are enjoying exploring a new centre and are looking forward to continuing to develop our skills on public transport and in the community. The students particularly enjoy the opportunity to buy a snack or lunch on these outings, which involves many skills such as being aware of their dietary requirements, communicating an order and demonstrating respect in a café setting.

The students had a ball at the Halloween Disco. They danced the night away and were very excited to share all about their evening when they were back at school on Monday. We had costumes ranging from ‘Sergeant Brown’ to ‘messed up Mary Poppins!’
We are looking forward to all the excitement that end of year brings! Look out for our Business Enterprise selling Christmas Cards this term! Thanks as always to Mrs Bregger, Miss V, Mr S and Miss Enright for all your hard work. Ms Amber Blackburn
What an exciting and busy start we have had in term 4! We kicked the term off with our outing, to Bull Creek Shopping Centre, the first CBL which involved catching public transport. This was hugely successful as every student demonstrated responsibility, teamwork, and respect. We are extending this learning in the classroom by practising using the Transperth Journey Planner to plan specific journeys in the future.
In week 4, we were fortunate enough to go on our Year 7 camp to Point Peron! This was a three-day camp filled with adventure, team building and delicious food! Some of the highlights included kayaking, water balance activities, rock climbing, nature walks, and of course – we had to include a Halloween hunt around the campsite! We had a wonderful time, and it was another great opportunity for students to form meaningful friendships and spend quality time together in the beautiful weather.
We are looking forward to continuing our CBL outings, perform in Leeming’s Got Talent and complete our conservation project in Bush Rangers over the next few weeks, as we near the end of the school term.
Mrs Bartlett and ESC 7 staff
Term 4 has been jam packed so far with learning and exciting events in ESC8. We started the term with an ESSN sport carnival at Atwell Reserve and were so proud of our students for their determination and focus on a very hot day out on the oval. We have been accessing the Transperth bus services this term during CBL and travelled to Bull Creek shopping centre, which has allowed students to gain new skills venturing out more into our local community.
Our year 7 Camp was the highlight of our first year together! It was an amazing experience where students developed independent living skills, took part in team building activities such as crate climbing, surf life saving and kayaking. Students also engaged in our school Bush Ranger program during camp, assisting with a beach clean up and learning more about how the Department of Biodiversity Conservation and Attractions helps to protect the beautiful area where we camped at Point Peron. Well done to all of our year 7 students, they were all happy campers!

We are enjoying every moment of our last term together before the summer holidays and getting very excited for the schools PBS reward day to celebrate our awesome students! Happy term 4 from the students and staff of ESC 8.
Danielle Brennan
What an amazing start to our last term of Year 8! I can’t believe how quickly the year has gone, and how much we’ve achieved together. Term 4 has already kept us extremely busy with many fun events. In week 1 ESC9 travelled to Atwell College for the ESSN Athletics Carnival and participated in a range of sporting activities. We also enjoyed the Halloween themed disco at the end of week 3!

The results are in for our annual ESC9 AFL tipping competition and the winner for 2023 was…DRUM ROLL… ISLA! Isla won a canteen voucher for finishing on top of the ladder with the highest amount of points.

We are excited to finish the term on an exciting and positive note with Leeming’s Got Talent and the PBS Student Reward Day. Bring it on!!
Miss Emma Gage
Wow term 4 has been flying by! As I write this the students in ESC 10 are all recovering from a fun filled camp to Point Peron in Rockingham. I was so impressed with all the students who participated in the camp. Each student participated in many fun activities such as kayaking, beach rescues, rock climbing, ladder climbing, crate climbing and many more. It was so great to see how the students interacted with one another and formed friendships that hopefully will carry through the rest of their school years and beyond.
Although camp is done the work doesn’t stop. Students are continuing to work hard in all subject areas. They are learning about family history in HASS and are enjoying reading the BFG story and comparing the characters and plot to the movie.
Students have also enjoyed going to the school disco this term which was a lot of fun, as well as the ESSN carnival. I must commend all the students for how they have behaved when going off campus and dealt with changes to routines. We look forward to catching the bus for the first time to CBL at Bull Creek shopping centre and winding down towards the end of the year.
As always thank you to all of my EAs who are a fantastic support every day.
Jack Drennan
What an amazing start to our final term for the year. It has been a very busy term for all of us, we have still managed to keep the smiles and laughter going throughout.
We began the term with our Year 9 camp at Fairbridge Pinjarra for two nights. I was very impressed by all the boys’ willingness to participate in activities which may have been a little challenging with a big smile on their face. The comradery between the class was unmatched and it was a pleasure to see them encourage each other, socialise, and have an all-round great experience. They should all be proud of the attitude and behaviour they showcased while on camp, which reflected on their overall experience and enjoyment.
The remainder of the term is going to be focused on transitioning into year 10 and senior school, something I know they are all slightly anxious, but at the same time excited about.
Mr Angelo Calasse and Team
Time is flying so quickly, we are already halfway through term 4! ESC 12 students are gearing up to prepare moving to senior school next year. Students have been working with Ms FP to make choices about their likes and dislikes to prepare them for their ‘My Plan’ in year 10.
The students who attended the camp were all USTARS! Our happy campers were Aiden, James, Thomas, Erika and Riley. They demonstrated Unity, Self-Responsibility, Teamwork, Achievement and Respect during activities. They participated in Archery, Rock Climbing, Giant Swing, Talent show, Village Tour and went to the Redz Zoo. What an awesome camping troop led by Mrs Drinan and Ms Dale!

Students have been learning about animal habitats and how natural disasters can damage the habitat of Australian animals. Students have been learning about bushfires and how they can destroy flora, fauna and human life. They made a bushfire survival kit and chose things they were going to put in their kits that were important to them.
The Notre Dame Program finished in Week 2, students made thankyou cards for their buddies.
As a class we made some Halloween decorations to support the school disco. Aiden the skeleton, Thomas the Hulk and Mrs D the Scary Scarecrow represented ESC 12 at the Halloween Disco on Friday the 27th October.
Congratulations Thomas on getting the Star Award! And Erika for getting the Attendance Award this term!
Deepika Khosla
ESC 13 - VICKY CHAMBERS & KATE BALL
After a well-deserved break, ESC13 have been off to a great start in term 4. We have been busy learning lots of new skills and have been preparing students for Workplace Learning and their trip to Rottnest Island. During Workplace Learning students have been lucky enough to gain hands on work experience at a variety of industries. This is an amazing experience as it gives them the opportunity to become familiar with workplace environments and the expectations required. They have observed safe practices in the workplace and gained confidence asking questions and following instructions.
In mathematics, we have been focusing on Shape & Transformation and Location. We have utilised our knowledge of maps and directional language to assist us during our CBL visits. Before leaving we explored the map of Cockburn Gateway to determine a safe meeting point, places of interest and locate the food court where students will purchase and eat their lunch. We then practised using a map to locate a shop, recording the route and directions they would need to walk in to arrive at the correct destination. During our work on Shape, the students completed a tour of the school grounds and took pictures of the safety signs they found. They then identified the meaning of the safety sign and linked it to the correct 2D shapes. This was an important task as it assists students to identify when there is a health and safety hazard in their environment.
Another focus this term was teaching the students the USTAR value’s, Respect and Unity. We explored what Respect and Unity looks like in the classroom, during lunch and recess and when we are out in the community. We have been working hard to put these skills into practise and students have been showing their maturity when working as team, being respectful to staff, students and, community mentors Excellent work ESC13!
Lastly, we have been working on an exciting STEM project. The students have put their Maths, Science and Technology skills to use, to build a car using recycled materials. The students explored how wheels are attached to an axel that rotates the cylinder-shaped wheels at the same time. They help to carry a load and are all around us. We also learnt how friction affects how fast the wheels turn by testing our cars speed on different surfaces. The students loved designing and making their recycled cars and learnt so much along the way.
We have a busy five weeks ahead of us with lots of exciting things happening, especially the trip to Rottnest in week 7 followed by PBS Award Day!
Well done to the students for their excellent achievements this term!
ESC13 Team
Everyone in ESC 14 has been working extremely hard this term trying to complete all outstanding tasks for both their Bush Ranger Cadet Programs and Preliminary Units. Their dedication and perseverance in doing so is particularly noteworthy. Alongside this they have also been very busy planning and preparing for their upcoming Graduation in Week 6. As the year is coming to an end, it is great to see all students continue to thrive in their work placements and TAFE courses.
We were fortunate to have an external presenter from ST Johns WA come visit us and help reinforce the actions taken if an emergency was to occur. Through role play, the students were able to demonstrate how to contact emergency services and manage the situation.
They also participated in a Friendship Program run by DDWA, which has provided all students with an understanding on the importance of maintaining friendships beyond school and has equipped them with tools and strategies on how to do so.
We are all looking forward to our trip to Rottnest Island in their final graduating week and most importantly their big Graduation Dinner.
ESC 14 Team
Term 4 is flying by and ESC 15 students are preparing to enter their final year of high school. Resumes have been updated, students are enjoying their work placements, some students have opted to apply for TAFE courses next year and number of students have completed their independent travel training.
There is more excitement on the horizon. Year 11 students are heading to Rottnest on Monday 20th November for an action packed day of team building, exploring, orienteering, sports and recreation. ESC 15 have also been reviewing their CBL experiences this year and discussing what else they would like to do. It is set to be a memorable term.
We are looking forward to welcoming families to the classroom on November 21 to share and celebrate our achievements during the Family Open Day.

Ms Emily Muco
ESC 16 - LACHLAN FREWER & TIM HARRIES
We have had a great start to our final term of high school. Students have now finished most of their academic programs, and have continued to work hard at their work placements and supported work environments.
Our Year 12 Graduation Assembly with mainstream was an exciting event, allowing students to celebrate their amazing achievement of finishing their schooling. As a final school social event, the Friday before Halloween, students dressed for a Halloween themed disco and danced the night away. It was an amazing event as usual, and we’d like to thank everyone involved in making it happen. It’s so lovely to see our students in social environments having fun with their peers! We are on the downhill slide with our year 12's and are all very excited about our up-and-coming events. Our ESC Graduation Assembly on Monday 6th November, a day trip to Rottnest Island on Tuesday November 14th and finally our end of year Graduation Dinner on Thursday, November 16th. This final celebration will be a night to remember with awards, sash presentations and a trip down memory lane of their time at Leeming ESC.
We have loved being on the leavers journey with our students and wish them all the best with their life after Leeming!
Mr Fewer & Mr Harries & ESC 16 team
ESC 17 - STEFFI VARGHESE & MONISHA SUNIL
We are thrilled to share some of the remarkable moments and experiences that have made this term special for all of us at ESC 17. The beginning of term 4 was filled with great anticipation and excitement for both our students and teachers. The reason for this eager enthusiasm was the highly anticipated class camp. Camp is always a highlight of the year, a time when our students can connect, make new friends, and build lifelong memories.

Our camp was a resounding success. It provided the perfect setting for our students to get to know each other better through a series of fun and challenging activities. They not only developed new friendships but also honed their teamwork and cooperation skills. The camp experience has brought our class closer together, creating a tight-knit bond that will carry us through the rest of the term. One of the most memorable events was our Talent Show night where students showcased their incredible singing and dancing skills, leaving the audience in awe. The evening was filled with laughter, applause, and a true celebration of the diverse talents our students possess. We are immensely proud of their performances and the courage it took to share their talents with their peers. In our science classes, we embarked on an exciting project. Students had a blast building their own grass huts as a class. This project not only introduced them to scientific principles but also promoted teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

As we reflect, we can't help but smile at the wonderful moments we've shared and the bonds we've formed. Our class has been a place of growth, learning, and friendship. We're eagerly looking forward to the second half of this term and all the exciting opportunities it holds for us.

PHYS ED - MISS HEARD, MR HOLDSWORTH & MS PEREIRA
Notre Dame Program 2023
Over most of term 3 and the start of term 4, year 10 students were involved in the Notre Dame Physical Education Program. We had an amazing group of Notre Dame teaching students, who took our Leeming students for 1 on 1 Physical Education sessions across 10 weeks. Students developed their skills in a range of sports, as well as sportsmanship, teamwork and socialisation. Notre Dame students prepared individualised sessions for our students and recorded their progress throughout their time at the University. Some of the activities students were involved in included cricket, soccer, footy, gymnastics, volleyball, navigation, scavenger hunts and much more.
Leeming would like to extend a massive thank you to the University of Notre Dame, especially Ben Piggott, Mark Claydon and all of the 3rd year students. Our Leeming students were thrilled to be involved in this program, not only being involved in physical activity, but creating relationships with new people. We already look forward to 2024!
ESSN Carnival
Week 1 of term 4 saw our year 7’s, 8’s and 11’s all travel to Atwell for the Annual ESSN Carnival. The carnival has a mix of sports, team games and motor skill challenges that students compete in throughout the day. All of our students were exemplary on what was a very hot and muggy day. Congratulations to Mikail Tanriver, Isabel Gomez and Isabella Chia on winning the MVP, participation and sportsmanship awards respectively.
A huge thank you goes out to all of the classes and staff that participated in the day. We had almost half of the school in attendance at the carnival and all of your help and cooperation made the day run very smooth!

Netball Carnival
On Wednesday week 3, selected students travelled to Atwell College to participate in an inaugural Netball Carnival, hosted by Netball students, from Melville Senior High School. The morning consisted of various rotation activities, with students learning netball skills. After the rotations, Leeming broke into two teams and competed against other schools in Netball games. We are very proud of all students who attended the carnival. It was a very warm day, but our netballers did not give up, always showing great enthusiasm and resilience. The icy poles certainly went down a treat at the end of the day!
Congratulations to the following students who represented Leeming ESC:
Issy Chia, Sabrina Chia, Ollie Cuffe-Cain, Sam Nguyen, Owen Edwards, Scott Foo, Dkhan McMullen, Anisha Manokaran, Chris Greenham, Connor Crofts, Ruby Edmondson, Gracelyn Higgs, Sarah Bell and Maggie Armistead.
Thank you to Ms Pereira, Ms Harcourt, Miss Farmer, Ms Brewer and Miss Heard for attending the carnival and supporting our students throughout the day.

Upcoming Events
To finish off the term, we are looking forward to the Kalabilty Cricket Carnival in Week 7. House Captains and student councillors will be heading over to Rottnest Island for their end of year Leadership Camp at the end of Week 8. This camp will be co-hosted by the Stephen Michael Foundation, and we are very grateful to Macca and his team for their time.
The term is already zooming past us. We look forward to the exciting upcoming weeks of sport!

This term we welcomed the year 10's to the workplace learning program. They have all had a positively productive start and should be so proud of themselves. It was a pleasure to acknowledge all the year 10 students with merit certificates at the recent assembly in honour of their work contributions so far. Keep up the hard work!!
Here’s a little snapshot from a few of the year 10 students:
Janelle (Pet Stock)– “My favourite job is to stock the shelves. I get to feed the cats biscuits and feed the fish flakes”.
Rohan (Bunnings) – “I really love stocking the shelves and using the “Zebra”. The “Zebra” is a Bunnings iPhone that you can look up items, check the website, and talk to the manager if you need to. I have learnt they have a big space upstairs for staff and computers. I didn’t know this until I worked there. The staff are generous. I am enjoying Bunnings”.
Sheona (IGA) – “I am having a great time at IGA. I feel comfortable in my work experience shirt, I like the fabric. The people are nice, and they give us different tasks. I am enjoying having fun with Thomas and Ms Palma”.
Our Employee of the Month has been awarded to Makenzie Alcock. Congratulations to Makenzie for her independent administrative work skills with the Water Corporation this semester. The team have reported they really enjoy the email jokes that she emails to the team as part of their "Wacky Wednesday" well-being initiative. Way to go Makenzie!
Our school has an ongoing relationship with Bentley Community Garden. Students gain valuable horticulture skills with the gardening volunteers each Wednesday. For student projects to be acknowledged in the garden one of the lead members requested signs be created to display throughout the garden. The members of the garden were very happy to display these unique designs.
We were lucky enough to obtain these signs from our local school artist: graduate of 2023, Ezra Cuming. We would like to acknowledge Ezra for his time and effort with many artistic projects that he has been willing to help with at school. Ezra also created the host employer gift “thank you cards”. Amazing and inspiring work! A very talented young man!

This past semester as part of the school-based work skills program on a Wednesday, students have been making thank you gifts for our valued host employers. Look at the fabulous end product of the succulents and chocolate bouquets. A special mention to year 11 student Sebastian Devlin who has been working super hard on this particular project!

Our host employers have been ever so grateful and have loved the fact they have been created from the students at school.
