On Wednesday 29th March, we welcomed year 7 and 8 families with a special morning tea. Thank you to parent board representatives Rebecca Joyce and Olivia Chia for helping to coordinate the event and welcome families. I hope everyone enjoyed getting know each other and continue to develop networks and connections throughout their children’s education at Leeming ESC.
We are experiencing a significant increase in the number of therapists coming into the school to conduct therapy with our students. I would like parents to be aware that this can be a very time-consuming role for teachers to take on top of their teaching load, with many of them having to coordinate up to 10 or more therapists for their class. It is very important that therapists follow our school guidelines and complete the induction process before starting therapy with a student on school site. All therapy at school must align with the educational outcomes the teacher has set for the student and therapy is encouraged to be done inside the classroom. We do not have the availability of rooms for therapists to conduct therapy individually with a student outside the classroom or for therapy to occur outside of school hours. Further information about changes to therapy at school and updates with our school guidelines will be communicated in term 2.
I am very excited to announce that our school has been selected by the Department of Education as a Quality Teaching Strategy (QTS) lead school. The QTS is the Department of Education’s position on effective teaching and the aspects of school culture which support improved teaching practice. As a QTS lead school our role will be to demonstrate, share and lead effective classroom instruction with teachers and school leaders. We are looking forward to sharing our knowledge and best practice with schools across Western Australia.
A reminder that students do not return to school until Wednesday 26th April next term.
Have a safe and happy holiday!
Well, it’s week 9 and almost time for lots of chocolate! It was also time for our second Board Meeting for 2023. As a Board, we have to be mindful of what we can expect of our school and our families in assisting with decision making, so that we can all thrive. In a conversation about what other ‘hats’/roles we have, we discovered our Board contains a wide range of interests, and a lot of responsibilities to juggle. I imagine this might be you too. We discussed the management of increasing numbers of visiting therapists, based on teacher feedback and parent board member experiences, for the revised policy. We also discussed the changes and needs in Student Services, from key staff leaving, increased workload/tasks, and the Chaplain position, which is proving difficult to fill. Student services is an increasing important function of our school, and many Leeming staff are stepping up to fill roles while long term solutions are found. This may be a good fit for parents to come into the school and help out. Hopefully, conversations will be had around this at the Parent Morning Tea for new student families, or the Leeming ESC Alumni meeting for older student families, both having occurred this week and organised with assistance from our parent and community board members. I hope you were able to attend. Have a safe Easter and enjoyable break.

We’re almost done with Term 1! Can you believe it? The last 5 weeks has been packed with so many learning opportunities for these boys, it’s hard to include them all in just a short newsletter item. Every fortnight we venture to Fremantle for CBL and include evidence for our ASDAN portfolios. We have discovered some interesting historical facts and the students have enjoyed utilising their social and communication skills whilst out in the community.
In the workplace, each one of these amazing young men are smashing their goals and demonstrating how dedicated they are to their post school life. I am incredibly proud of their independence and maturity.
I would like to thank Ms Xavier and Miss Riley for their ongoing support whilst I am away and very much look forward to being back in ESC 1 when school resumes for Term 2!

I hope you all have a safe and Happy Easter. Enjoy a well-deserved break and remember to stay safe! See you in two weeks.

ASDAN Workright:
This term, my students have been participating in Workright, an ASDAN programs designed to prepare them for life in the workplace after school. It covers a wide range of work-related skills such as: (1) Health and Safety in the Workplace, (2) Being responsible in the Workplace, (3) Working with others in the Workplace and (4) You at Work. As part of the delivery of this program, students have been going to Striker Indoor Sports & Fitness business in Leeming every Tuesday. By undertaking a wide range of jobs in the Gym and Cafeteria areas of the business (under strict supervision) has given students the opportunity to experience what it is like to be in the workplace and what it means to work together as a team. The Striker business experience complements other in-school learning activities aimed at preparing them for their main work placement (Workplace Learning) commencing in Term 4.
Functional Numeracy
Money, Measurement and using the online Transperth Journey planner skills have been our focus for the past few weeks. Students have been completing activities in numeracy that would prepare them for life now and in the future. Students have also been learning to read and interpret invoices/receipts to understand the concept of money spent and change received. They enjoyed the opportunities to apply their money skills during our trips to the community under our Community-Based Learning program. During these trips, it was great to observe students consolidating on their social skills through appropriate interactions with members of the community. Those who ordered their lunches waited patiently for their food. Great teamwork!
Functional Literacy
Students have been busy conducting research about different businesses/industries in preparation for their participation in workplace learning in Term 4. They have also dedicated much of their time engaged in a wide range of tasks aimed at improving their writing, reading and public speaking skills. Another area of focus was their exploration of narratives writing on different topics to advance their writing skills. This included modelling narrative writing and using the visual narrative story plot such as introduction, climax, and resolution to enhance students’ confidence in constructing their own story writing. Students were encouraged to share their completed work with the rest of the class to continue to grow their confidence in public speaking.
In summary, students have made smooth transition from Year 9 to Year 10 and have settled in well to their new classroom. The huge progress they have made in speaking and listening, reading, writing and numeracy so far this term is worthy of commendation. Well done and keep up the good work!
Wow… how time flies. I can’t believe that it is almost the end of the term. It was lovely to meet all of our parents during the recent My Plan meetings. By now, you should have all received a copy of your child’s My Plan. All our students are working diligently towards achieving the goals set in their plan through our Literacy, Numeracy and ASDAN programs.
In ASDAN Transition Challenge, we have planted sunflower seeds and measured it weekly as it grows. We also explored the arts through our visit to Sculpture by the Sea. Students got to vote for their favourite sculpture which turned out to be a gigantic sculpture of the huge wave in Japan made entirely of bottle caps.
For Math, we have been developing and consolidating our number skills. Learning place value, addition, subtraction and skip counting. These skills are essential and an important building block prior to learning and developing money skills.
In Literacy, we have been sharpening our decoding skills, spelling and writing skills. One of our themes this term was Harmony Day. It was lovely to see our students researching and presenting their projects on the culture and practices from different countries. We also got to enjoy food from different cultures. Students learned about how Shrove Tuesday is practiced all over the world. We got to cook pancakes and created a design of our favourite toppings.
Students had their first work experience at Strikers where they undertook a range of jobs such as cleaning, dusting and vacuuming. They also learnt the importance of using PPE and learnt about the different hazard signs. Students have worked hard this term and have adjusted well into senior school. Wishing everyone a well-deserved and safe holiday.

Ms Parwani, Ms Mahalingam, Mrs Shivers , Ms Farmer
Wanjoo!
This term has been busy with students caring for the environment and working safely outdoors as part of their Bush Ranger program. Students collected litter around the school grounds and participated in a clean-up school event, as part of clean up Australia Day. Students finished the term by completing a Community Service at Bibra Lake Regional Park. We identified living and non-living features, key values of the reserve and collected a lot of plastic and food wrapping packaging. Students enjoyed a picnic and play in the playground after their hard work. Great work Bush Rangers!

On Tuesdays, students are busy with their Work Right program completing work experience at Strikers Indoor Sports and Fitness Centre. The focus has been learning the importance of showing respect to the supervisor, working as part of a team and learning new skills, including cleaning gym equipment, folding team bibs, sorting stock in the canteen, cleaning the squash courts, vacuuming and sweeping. The supervisor, Glenda is impressed with the student’s consistently showing respect and teamwork skills. Champions!

The year 10 cohort enjoyed an incredible day at Cottesloe’s Sculptors by the Sea event. The students enjoyed being hands on with the sculptors and provided fantastic responses when undertaking the tactical tour by DADAA. DADAA is a not-for-profit community arts and cultural development organisation, focusing on creating positive social change and opportunities for people with a disability or a mental illness. The guide was incredibly impressed with student’s perceptions of the many creative displays. The students are to be commended on their outstanding skills to travel on public transport to and from the event. Outstanding!

In Enterprise, students have been busy making and selling Pancakes, Cake in a Cup, Saint Patricks badges, Anzac biscuits, and beautiful ANZAC silhouette to raise money to purchase plants for the class garden project next term. Students are planning to travel to Bunnings to purchase items and participate in a planting herbs workshop. Exciting!

Phew…these busy weeks, now bring us to a much-deserved school holiday!
The staff are impressed with the high standard of positive teamwork and responsibility displayed and would like to congratulate each student. Well done!
Lorraine Vann, Lisa Palma, Katy Blacklock and Jaimee Coles
We’ve finally made it to the end of term and what a great term it’s been! Students have been fantastic and its been an excellent 1st term for me at Leeming. Having said that, I think the staff and students are looking forward to a well earned school break.
Towards the end of this term we began our community based learning (CBL) to the Leeming forum where we walked through the suburbs, navigating road crossings and crosswalks. Once there, the students took photo’s and explained the service each shop provided. They also displayed their appropriate public behaviour and practised purchasing a snack from the deli.

During this term Enoch, Scott and Owen also participated in an interschool basketball lightning carnival in week 8 which they all really enjoyed. Miss Louise joined them and said it was impressive how much the boys improved in their defence from the start of the day to the end of the day.
A big thank you goes to the staff in ESC5. A lot of the great things that happen in class is a result of the hard work they put in behind the scenes.
Have a great Easter and a lovely holiday!
Brett Limpus
Term 1 has flown by in ESC 6! The students have enjoyed going out on CBL to Leeming Forum. They have practised locating items in IGA and ordering drinks at Farrington’s Café. They have also been learning about services provided in the community by locating different services at Leeming Forum, and collecting newspapers at the Forum to make a collage of advertisements for services in the local area. In week 9, the students enjoyed their end of term trip to have hot chips at the café!
Some of our students participated in the Basketball Carnival in Week 8. They really enjoyed the day and showed fantastic team work skills.
We also celebrated Harmony Day recently. As a class we made bodies that we decorated with things that make us who we are. Many classes in the school joined in and all the artworks were displayed in the undercover area.
We asked the students what their favourite part of term 1 was:
Ruby R: I liked meeting the new year 7s and footy tipping
Maleyk: I liked D & T and maths
Jaylene: I liked going to the basketball carnival and sport lessons
Gracelyn: I liked talking with my friends and doing the cha cha song with Enoch
Ruby E: I liked meeting the new year 7s and computers
Isabel: I liked dance class and going on CBL
Sarah: I liked the dress up day, dance lessons and doing Katy Perry for Just Dance
Thomas: I liked going to dance lessons, music and selling cards. I was the banker selling cards
Jade: I liked doing news and having my lunch orders
We hope everyone has a good holiday and is looking forward to a busy term 2 getting ready for the Pop Up Shops as part of our Business Enterprise – ESC 6 Glorious Gifts!

It is hard to believe that our year 7’s have officially finished their first term of high school! Congratulations to the parents and families for making it this far too. I am sure you are all looking forward to a well-deserved holiday and a few sleep-ins. Our students have settled into Leeming ESC and it is pleasing to see lots of meaningful friendships and connections formed with peers and teachers.
Our students have enjoyed hands-on maths rotations, focusing on money and time. In health, we have been focusing on personal hygiene and discussing the importance of daily routines such as showering, teeth brushing, hand washing and the types of personal products we should be using to keep clean and smelling fresh.
As part of our HASS curriculum, we celebrated Harmony Day. Students had the opportunity to learn about their culture & heritage and share it with their peers. Thank you to all the families for sending in information about your culture! We researched the different countries we have connections to and discovered we have over 12 different cultures in our classroom. We particularly enjoyed our Harmony Day feast, where students all brought in a meal to share which represented their culture. This was an excellent day full of rich and meaningful conversations about our identities.
We have lots to look forward to in term 2, including our Enterprise opportunity for Pop-Up Shops.
Happy Easter and enjoy your holidays.
Mrs Bartlett, Mrs Maunder, Mrs Buchanan & Mrs Warusapperuma
We have been so busy in ESC8, we had so much fun attending a Basketball Carnival in Kalamunda. Our school did so well, and students were very proud of themselves versing year 12 students from another school! We did awesome! Go Leeming!

At school the students have been cooking lots during home economics and have made lots of yummy dishes to show off, including mixed fruit smoothies, banana and blueberry muffins, potato wedges and quesadillas which were all delicious. During music lessons we have been learning the keyboard and it has been great to watch the progress they have made with this skill over the past weeks.

We have made time telling a focus during maths, playing lots of time games and problem solving with time. It is amazing to see the student’s confidence grow in this area and have a go with more tricky time problems with independence.
Our eco warriors have been making such an impact at Coogee beach during after school Bush Rangers, collecting the litter left there and ensuring our local environments are being well looked after. Well done Bush Rangers!
This term we have also celebrated world Down Syndrome Day and Harmony Week, we wore orange and sported crazy socks to raise awareness and celebrate inclusion. To celebrate Harmony Week during HASS our class explored the cultural backgrounds of students in our class and the foods that come from these countries. With thanks to our beautiful families, we all got to taste foods from various countries and celebrate the different cultures we are lucky to experience together living here in Australia. Thank you families and thank you students for such a great first term together at high school.

We hope everyone has a very enjoyable and safe holidays together.

Term 1 has just zoomed past and we can’t believe how much learning we’ve managed to squeeze in. The ESC9 students have settled in beautifully at Leeming ESC, and it has been wonderful to see everyone reconnect with their friends and peers, and begin to demonstrate some year 8 maturity and resiliency. We also welcomed a new student in week 9, Isla. It was so exciting to welcome a new friend to our classroom and we’re looking forward to getting to know Isla more next term.
Have a look at the personal highlights of term 1 from our ESC9 students.
Connor: My favourite thing about this term is Friday! I get to do whatever I want in period 5, if I earn enough points.
Isla: I like playing with my new friends and meeting my new teachers. I am still learning how to do my morning routine and which classes to go to and when.
Chris: This term Computing was the best because we did Minecraft Education. I liked Woodwork because I made a lot of games. I also liked the Basketball Carnival.
Anisha: I like CBL because I get to go out for lunch and go on the bus. I like looking at the dresses and stuff to buy at Chemist Warehouse.
Dkhan: I liked going out to lunch on CBL to Hungry Jacks in Bull Creek. My favourite option class is Computing because I like scanning QR codes. I like Dance class too and dancing to Who Let the Dogs Out?
Cameron: I like going to assembly because I get to watch the USTAR Awards.
Kelly: I like Dance because I get to listen to all of my favourite music.
Halo: I like Outdoor Ed because it is fun. I like CBL and going on the bus. On CBL I got cheesy nuggets from Red Rooster. I like doing basketball in Sport.
Hanna: My term 1 highlights were goin to CBL to Bull Creek and going to get lunch and baking cupcakes with Mrs Sunil. My favourite option class is D&T because I get to make things.
We are looking forward to term 2, as we have many exciting things coming up, including the Leeming ESC Pop-Up shops, but first let’s enjoy the well-deserved two week break. Happy Easter!

Miss Gage
What a great start to the year we have had in ESC 10. This term has flown by. I want to congratulate all the students and families in ESC 10 for the way you have all transitioned to High School and settled into Leeming. It is so great to see the friendships the students have made and their willingness to learn new topics within the class.
This term we have focused on using adjectives, verbs, and nouns in our writing during literacy lessons, as well as using different strategies to calculate addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division sums in math. A favourite subject of everyone this term has been our cooking classes. The students have made a lot of great food and are now identifying the prices on the Coles website for all the ingredients they will need. With a bit of luck they may offer to do the shopping one day and you parents can have a day off.
We look forward to what next term will bring. We will be preparing for our Pop up Shop enterprise and beginning to practice CBL skills in preparation for going to the shops later in the year.
Each student has worked very hard this term and is deserving of a great holiday and break. I would like to thank my awesome team of Kristy Hewer, Sarah Russell, and Karlene Wynd. Every day they have been a great support to myself and the students. Without them we couldn’t possibly do what we do each day in the classroom.
I hope everybody enjoys their break and are looking forward to what will be a busy term two.
Jack Drennan ESC 10 Teacher
What an amazing term 1 everyone in ESC11 has had! We have all been working very hard to establish a good routine and workload, while also remembering to have fun and share some jokes. It has been wonderful to see all eight students join in with the class routines and settle in comfortably.
During this term the boys have engaged with a range of activities and lessons. Each Friday they have been travelling to Coogee Marina where they have learnt about beach safety and practised their beach rescues. Another memorable moment was when we had a multicultural class feast to celebrate Harmony Day and the variety of cultural backgrounds we have in our class. Our feast consisted of foods from all over the world including South Africa, Malaysia, England, Croatia, Portugal and of course some Australian/Indigenous classics such as damper, lamingtons and kangaroo!
I can’t wait to see how everyone in ESC11 will shine for the rest of the year!!
Mr Calasse and Team ESC11
Can’t believe how the term has gone past so quickly. The first few weeks were a bit challenging for students as they had been in the same class for two years. Starting Year 9 was a big move, students had a new classroom, classmates, and staff members. I have to say that my students have learnt to be more resilient with the changes that have happened in the last five weeks with lots of different relief staff in and out of class.
ESC 12 have been learning about celebrations around the world and participated in Harmony Day celebrations by dressing up in orange and bringing in a plate to share. As well as Harmony Day they also participated in St Patrick’s Day and Easter celebration. The event was a big success as students had the opportunity to taste food from different countries. Students have been learning and practicing inclusion and respecting diversity. They have been practising greetings from different countries and learning to count 1-10 in Hindi, Mandarin and Italian.
Students started community-based learning and demonstrated appropriate behaviours in the community by showing respect to people and property. They have enjoyed completing set tasks and ordering their meals at the shops. Travel training is part of CBL and students are getting confident in using their Smartriders.
In Person Centred Planning, students have been identifying their own skills and qualities and what skills they need for their dream job. We had had some interesting group discussions on various jobs and students played a game ‘Who am I’ where they described the skills and job description and their peers had to guess the job.
ESC 12 has been working hard to demonstrate USTAR Values by showing unity, self-responsibility, teamwork achievement and respect towards themselves, peers and staff members. Proud of all my USTARS!
A big thankyou to me awesome hardworking team Ms Hamel, Ms Banks, Ms Mac and Ms L who have worked tirelessly to make my learning programs successful. Their positive attitude has made a huge difference in making it a successful term. I would also like to thank all the parents and carers for collaborating and getting on board to work collaboratively to enrich their child’s learning journey.

Wishing you all Happy Easter.
Mrs Khosla
It is hard to believe we are already at the end of term 1.
It was a brilliant start to the 2023 school year, with students and staff in ESC 13 quickly settling back into the school routine, and the establishment of a happy and welcoming classroom environment occurring within the first week.
The students have worked hard throughout the term and have made sound progress in all curriculum subjects. As a class group, the students always present a positive attitude, and consistently demonstrate the USTAR values of Unity, Self-responsibility, Teamwork, Achievement and Respect.
Some outstanding achievements this term include the positive feedback from all employers at each student workplace, and the significant gains made by all students in the areas of reading and writing.
The students also wrote about their positive experiences this term:
Ryan Dong: I enjoyed music with Mrs Damos. I played drums and piano. I enjoyed Cooking. I cooked sausage rolls. I enjoyed basketball at Sport and dribbling defence. I enjoyed Road Awareness with Ms P.
Nick Fleming: I like having all my mates in the same class again. I really enjoy doing Keys4Life.
Ethan Hebb: I enjoyed working at library, is a good work placement. I enjoyed making sausage rolls in cooking – it was good.
Luke Koza: I like having my mates in the same class again and I enjoyed doing Keys4Liife
Isaiah Lee: I enjoy music, we are learning to play the drums but I am looking forward to using the keyboard. I also enjoy art classes because it is fun and it makes me feel proud.
Ryley Savy: I have enjoyed learning Basketball in sport this term. I have enjoyed learning road rules in Keys4Life.
Joaquin Sinsua: I have liked playing Basketball in sport this term. I enjoyed Learning how to make food in Cooking.
Toby Vereker: I liked making different projects in Design and Technology. I enjoy doing art because I love drawing and painting.
During ASDAN: Using Transport lessons, students have chosen places they would like to visit this semester. Next, they researched transport options and planned the journey using the TransPerth website. During role plays, students have practised locating the bus stop, identifying the stop number, and reading the bus timetable. Using various websites, they have calculated the cost of their trip, activity and food prices, along with finding out the weather forecast. Students are looking forward to their upcoming excursion to Zone Bowling.
During the Valued Lives sessions, run by Innovative Employment Advisor, Mr Ben Larcombe, students have commenced their discovery records. This has included activities based on their likes and dislikes, identifying why they prefer activities over others, and considering jobs they might like to try. Students will continue this discovery process next term to assist them with post-school options and ideas.
During sport, the focus has been on tennis. Students have practised and refined their grip, serves, and backhand skills.
In art classes, students tried their hand at making patterns and designs, both with paint and beading activities, creating some colourful pieces.
Cooking has been a highlight for many, with delicious recipes being made each week. These have included blueberry muffins, sausage rolls and roasted potatoes.

Well done ESC14 on a busy and successful first term!
Tammy Megrail and team
Congratulations ESC 15 on completing your first term of Year 11! It’s been wonderful meeting families during the My Plan process and setting goals for senior school to support future aspirations.
I’ve really enjoyed hearing about the students’ experiences at work place learning and seeing their confidence develop.
Thank you for the warm welcome to Leeming ESC, wishing everyone a safe and relaxing holiday break.
As term one comes to a close, we have been able to reflect on a really great start to the school year. Our students have made a great start to their year 12 programs, including ASDAN Using Transport and Business Enterprise on Mondays, Valued Lives on Tuesdays, ADWPL on Wednesdays, Literacy classes on Thursdays and Mathematics on Fridays. As well as these programs, we have a number of students attending the travel training program and various Tafe courses. The feedback from staff and students on the progress of these courses has been outstanding.
For our business enterprise, we will be making protein bliss balls and coffees to sell across the school. We are in the process of finalising the planning and look forward to this commencing in term 2. We are also looking forward to accessing the community to engage in leisure and recreation activities, with a trip to Zone Bowling booked in early term 2.
ESC 17 - STEFFI VARGHESE & MONISHA SUNIL
Term 1 has just flown by, and we as a class had loads of fun getting to know each other and incorporating lots of learning and celebrations. The ESC 17 students have now settled in and have started to form meaningful friendships and connections with their peers and teachers. This term, the students went on CBL every Tuesday and had great fun shopping and purchasing their favourite food. The focus has been developing independence and confidence.
In HASS, we learnt about celebrations in different parts of the world and had fun learning about different cultures. In the lesson about HOLI, the students were thrilled to learn about the celebration of colours and had fun making colourful Rangoli Patterns with coloured rice.
This term we also celebrated and learned about Harmony Day by sharing a meal together. Students and staff brought in food from their favourite country and discussed as a class the importance of Unity in Diversity. In Protective Behaviours, we focused on differentiation between private and public body parts and seriousness of bullying.
We are looking forward to term 2 and thanks to all our students and staff for making Term 1 memorable! Happy Easter and have a great holiday.

Basketball Carnival
On Wednesday the 22nd of March, selected year 7 and 8 students attended the annual Kalability Basketball Carnival, at Ray Owen Sports Centre in Kalamunda. Leeming ESC selected two teams to participate in the carnival, which involved playing 4 competitive games, against other schools. Both teams displayed outstanding skills, sportsmanship and teamwork throughout the day. Both teams had some wins on the board, which our students thoroughly enjoyed celebrating. It was fantastic to see all students supporting each other, as well as other students from different schools. The staff members who attended are extremely proud of our Leeming ESC basketball teams! Well done to everyone involved.
Congratulations to the award winners!

We have had a fantastic term 1 in the workplace learning department. Students have been super busy and engaged each Wednesday. Here’s what some of the students in senior school have reported back so far:
Kooper – Willetton Community Garden
“I like being in the garden because it’s peaceful and it keeps me concentrated”
Ayden Falzon - Willetton Community Garden
“I enjoy the composting and watering the fruit trees. I also like working with the other people at the Willetton Community Garden”
Ezra Cuming – Good Sammy Retail Store

Hanna Stapel – Good Sammy Retail Store

Raymond Rivera is to be commended for completing over 800 hours of combined work experience and paid employment throughout all of year 11 and term1 of year 12. Watch this space as Raymond is on a roll this year, as he continues engaging in the Authority Developed Workplace Learning Program (ADWPL) accruing valuable hours experience and skills. An outstanding achievement. Way to go Raymond!!
At our assembly it was extremely difficult to choose the worthy recipients of the workplace learning awards, as there has been so many fantastic achievements celebrated.
It was a privilege to award workplace learning merit certificates to Ezra Cuming and Skye Cox. These students have demonstrated improved work practices this term and have had fantastic attendance at their retail placements.

The workplace learning Employee of the Month was received by Alyssa Middleton. Alyssa is an independent student at her childcare placement. She is independently getting herself to and from her weekly shifts, and her supervisors are extremely pleased with her work ethic, contributions to the team and her interactions with the children. They have observed her confidence increase as she becomes familiar with this work environment.
This term some students have been practising work skill tasks at school on Wednesdays by engaging in a book discarding project. Students complete a specific procedure for the City of Melville libraries. The school is then donating these books to the charity AYLA. This is just one of the exciting enterprises that are running at school to increase and build on students’ skillsets.

Friendly reminder: Wednesday week 1 of term 2 there will be no workplace learning. All students will be class based (please note: students who are engaging in school based traineeships with AYLA and TDL will attend their workplace Wednesday week 1).
