The 2022 school year is now well under way and I would like to welcome new families to our school community and congratulate students for the way they have quickly settled into the school year. Our year 7 students have adjusted well to their new school environment, expectations and programs at Leeming SHS ESC.

We have recently been through a school review process and I would like to thank staff, students and our School Board for the outstanding way they showcased our school community, programmes and student achievement. The review team were very impressed with how invested and committed staff, students and the Board are to Leeming SHS ESC. The School Review provided the opportunity for a thorough self-assessment of our school, validating what we do well and identifying areas for development. A full report will be available on our school website in the coming weeks.
On Friday 18 February, Year 12 students enjoyed their school ball at the Esplanade Hotel in Fremantle. Thank you to Ms Stewart for organising the school ball and to Mr Holdsworth, and Mrs Brennan for assisting on the night. Students thoroughly enjoyed the ball with their mainstream peers and I have received wonderful feedback from everyone involved.
Well done to our school councillors Oscar and Issac for hosting the school assembly online this week. In these uncertain times, we have had to adapt and learn new skills, Oscar and Isaac did an amazing job, demonstrating their leadership qualities. The boys have confidently taken on their responsibilities as councillors, providing feedback and supporting their mainstream peers to coordinate fun events for students at recess and lunch this term.
I will be taking Long Service Leave from Friday 4th March until 26th April 2022. The Administration Team during this time will be:
Acting Principal Kerryn Coles
Deputy Principal Evelyn Riley and Cathy Houden
Manager of Student Services Yolande Stewart
As we are now in a high case load COVI-19 environment, the information below describes what is considered a close contact at this point in time:
- Close contact in a high caseload environment includes:
- A household member or intimate partner of a person with COVID-19 who has had contact with them during their infectious period; or
- Someone who has had close contact with a person in their infectious period, including:
- At least 15 minutes face-to-face contact where a mask was not worn by the exposed person and the person with COVID-19;
- Greater than two hours within a small indoor space or classroom environment, where masks have been removed for this period by the exposed person and the person with COVID-19 (note: others wearing masks in this scenario would not be a contact);
- Someone who is directed by WA Health that they are a close contact.
- Mask wearing is now mandated, however we do understand that some students are not able to wear a mask due to their disability or medical exemption
I want to assure you that the health and safety of our students and staff is our top priority and we will continue to follow the latest WA Health advice. I encourage you to stay up to date on COVID-19 safe measures at wa.gov.au.
I also take this opportunity to remind you to monitor yourself and your child for symptoms of COVID-19, and keep your child home from school and get them tested if they are unwell.
Thank you for your understanding and support during this time. If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact the school on 9237 6870.

We spent a lovely morning outdoors at the Lo Quay River Café in Wilson, chatting and getting to know one another.
It was great to see parents getting to know each other and sharing their stories.

Our special guest Bernadette, is a parent of a current Year 8 student. Bernadette shared her experience of when her son began at Leeming ESC, and his Year 7 journey.
Thank you to all the parents who came to join us, and we hope your journey with us at Leeming ESC will be a happy and positive one.

Warm regards,
Cathy Houden & Vangi Evangeli
We have had an incredible start to the year in ESC 1, with everyone getting straight in to our learning programs for the year. We have started work experience in a range of places including Ayla, AH Bracks Library, Westcare, Activ and Australia Post. Some students have also started learning about micro enterprises. Students have worked on updating their interests, hobbies and joys in their My Plan which will help guide them in future placements. It has also been wonderful engaging with students and parents in our My Plan meetings. I would like to thank all the parents for their patience as we all learn this new system of meetings and hope everyone has enjoyed the process as much as we have!
I would like to thank Leanne, Kylee and Marianna for helping start the year on such a positive note. It is incredible to be working with such a skilled team once again this year. On behalf of the team, we would like to wish everyone ongoing health and safety during these uncertain times.
Our ESC 2 class has hit the ground running in 2022! Students have begun the process of completing their first My Plans in senior school, planning their journey into work experience. We have started our Workright program in class, preparing ourselves and learning skills to start work experience at Striker Indoor Recreation Centre. We are all so excited to start work there every Tuesday.
Our class has had a fantastic transition into Senior School. All of our students have been so adaptive to the changes that come with Senior School and they should be very proud of their start to the 2022 school year! We can’t wait for the year ahead!
The students had a great start to the new school year. In spite of having a relief teacher for two weeks, our wonderful ESC 3 class settled in beautifully into the new routine and expectations. I am so amazed and impressed with how well students had to adapt with the changing situation with workplace learning and class timetable. ESC 3 has an amazing team with Mrs Hales, Mrs Mahalingam, Mrs Johnson and Mrs Shivers. We are also impressed with the high standard of positive team work and independence displayed by the students.
The students have been enjoying a range of new options class ranging from dance, STEAM, computing, D&T and cooking. Here are some of the thoughts from our student about the start of the new school year.
Sebastian: I like my class. I enjoy doing Art, Literacy, Maths and swimming. My friends this year are Harvey, Sky, Nathan, Hugo, Zoe and Jyrah. I hang out with them at Leeming Link. I like coming to school every day because I like my teachers and friends.
Ayden: I feeling pretty good in ESC 3. I like my option classes and doing English. I like D&T, music and doing swimming. I also like doing Workright and Bush Rangers. I also like making projects with Mr. Z in D&T.
Branden: I love doing sport and D&T. I can’t wait to do Work Right. I look forward to going to Striker to learn some new work skills. It will be so much fun.
Jyrah: I love my new class. I get to say hi good morning to my teachers and friends. My favourite subject is Maths and Art. I like Leeming Link. I get to play same games there and I like Ms Parwani. She is so funny and she cracks me up all the time.
Fatima: This year I have new classroom and new classmates and teacher. I like learning about maths and art. I play with Kiara and Zoe. They are happy and lovely friends. Kiara is funny girl. I am happy with my teacher.
Kiara: I loved seeing my friends again. I get to play with them at recess and lunch. My friends are Fatima, Zoe and Luke. My favourite option class is art. I love to draw and colour in.
Zoe: I enjoyed going to mainstream Dance classes. I get to learn different dance moves. I like Computing and Swimming. My friends in my class are Jyrah, Fatima, Kiara, Kenneth, Ayden and Branden. My favourite teacher is Ms Parwani.
Kenneth: I had a bad start to the year. I went through a major surgery on my hip. I came in with mum on the third week to see whether I can cope with moving around school on my wheelchair. I need someone to help me when needed. I met up with all my friends at school and have enjoyed coming because I am doing mainstream cooking. I like my ESC 3 class, my teachers, and my classmates this year. I also like all my subjects.
Our students have also started to advocate their views through the Person Centred Programs (PCP) in preparation for their My Plans. I look forward to meeting all the parents, caregivers and other stakeholders at the My Plan meetings.
From Ms Parwani, Mrs Johnson, Mrs Hales, Mrs Mahalingam and Mrs Shivers
What an awesome start to year 10 we have had here in ESC 4! We began the term by getting to know each other and discovering what makes us all unique. We have researched, designed and built waterslides out of recycled materials, celebrated Valentine's Day by making chocolate coated fruit kebabs, brainstormed what our futures might look like after high school and created some goals we would like to achieve this year. We have also started preparation for CBL and workplace experience at Strikers. The students have been superstars at demonstrating our school’s USTAR values, so our rewards chart has been quickly filling up!

We are looking forward to seeing what the rest of this term has in store for us.
Miss Arndt, Miss Riley, Miss Hamel and Mrs Maunder.
It has been a productive and positive start to the 2022 school year in the Year 7.1 classroom. Despite the discomfort of wearing masks at school, students have returned to school glowing in high spirit and enthusiasm - ready to learn in their new school environment. Our class is blessed with a team of strong, cohesive and highly dedicated staff consisting of Lauren Temple, Melinda Banks, Toni Broadhurst, Tetiana Rieutska and myself as the leader of the team.
The term commenced with the staff team conducting diagnostic assessments in literacy and numeracy to ascertain each student’s performance level. The information was used in developing individualised education Plans for each student to cater for their learning needs.
We have adopted an integrated approach to literacy and numeracy instruction in the Year 7.1 classroom. Students have been engaged in a wide range of activities in literacy and numeracy according to their individual learning needs. As part of our literacy program, we encourage our students to dream or plan for their future. This is in acknowledgement of the fact that dreams can become a reality. Students receive guidance from staff in developing their visionary ideas to eventually formulate a personal vision board. This makes their vision clear and visible and students are reminded daily to work hard towards accomplishing their individual goals for the future. Students have also had opportunities to practise sentence construction, recount writing, reading comprehension as well as participate in spelling activities using the Look-Say-Cover-Write-Check strategy.
In Mathematics the Year 7.1 students have been learning about place values. The instructional approach encompasses a sequence of lessons aimed at teaching students the skills to be able to recognise the value of a digit based on its location within a number. We employ the MAB Base ten blocks to give students the hands-on experience and sustain their attention for longer periods of time. Another skill area that students have participated in this term is division and I must admit they have had plenty of fun learning about this concept. By using authentic and real-life examples to teach them to share items among themselves, students have learnt that division is part and parcel of our daily lives. Students have also engaged themselves in solving money skills problems, embracing the classroom shopping corner activities with tremendous enthusiasm.
The Bush Ranger Cadet Program has been one of my students’ favourite learning experience this term because of the command drill. Under this program, students have been working on listening and obeying the instruction of the Bush Ranger’s command drill, such as “Attention” and “At Ease”. As they demonstrate their mastering of the commands, new ones will be added as the term progresses. Another area of interest for most students in the Bushranger course is learning about the meaning of the emblems and symbols of the Western Australian, Aboriginal and the Torres Strait Islander flags. Working as a team, the Year 7.1 cadets used the internet to investigate the meaning of each flag and the history behind them.
Wow, we can’t believe we are half way through our first term of high school! The students in ESC 6 have been very busy learning all about high school routines. Our class is the first all-girls class at Leeming SHS ESC, and we have loved making friends and getting to know one another. Our class room focus is on being kind to ourselves and being kind to others. We have embraced each other and celebrate all of the different personalities we have in our class!
So far this term we have started our options classes, and have enjoyed going to Design and Technology, Digitech and Art. We have also enjoyed cooking and dance lessons. In our classroom we have been busy learning about the Winter Olympics, and had a very special guest in one of our PE Education Assistants, Ms Perrera – who is an Olympian and brought in her medals and the Olympic Torch to show us!

We have also been learning about showing USTAR values, and have been enjoying earning our USTAR points towards a raffle at the end of the week. So far we have had 6 Stars of the Week – Gracelyn, Anisha, Ruby R, Jade, Ruby E and Jaylene – Well done girls! And a big congratulations to our first Star Award recipient, Cameron, on your fantastic transition to high school.

We have recorded our favourite parts of high school so far below:
Ruby R: My favourite parts of high school are hanging out with my friends and that there are so many more subjects than primary school.
Jaylene: My favourite part of high school is digitech and chess in the library.
Cameron: My favourite part of high school is cooking.
Gracelyn: My favourite part of high school is parent pick up with my friends.
Ruby E: My favourite part of high school is catching the bus with Jaylene and Sarah.
Anisha: My favourite parts of high school are digitech and catching the bus with Jade.
Sarah: My favourite part of high school is dancing.
Isabel: My favourite parts of high school are cooking and art.
Jade: My favourite part of high school is the books at the library.
A big thank you to our amazing team in ESC 6 for all the support in welcoming our girls and starting the year. Mrs Bregger, Miss Musson and Miss Sutherland, you are all USTARS!
Welcome back to our year 8 students as they return from a well-deserved break refreshed and ready to learn. We also welcome back our EAs, Mrs Chamberlain and Ms Smith, and our new EA, Miss Jones. It has been fantastic to see how far our students have matured since returning to class and they have been enjoying reuniting with their peers.
This term, we have been increasing our technology skills as we navigate the online learning platform. Our focus for this term has been the Winter Olympics and exploring the various sports they offer. In HASS, we have been looking at diverse cultures worldwide and discussing where we would like to visit now the borders are opening up! The students have also been learning keyword signs this term, with great enthusiasm, to enhance their inclusive communication skills. As well as our class programs, students have been attending option classes, including Dance, Computers, STEAM, Music, and Art.

Well done to all the students for working hard and quickly getting back into a routine this year. We are looking forward to a busy and exciting year ahead.
Thank you,
Vicky Chambers, Della Chamberlain, Michelle Smith, Chloe Forster-Jones
Wanjoo!
“We acknowledge the Whadjuk people of the Noongar nation as the traditional custodians of the land and its waters and pay respect to their elders, past, present and emerging.
ESC 8 would like to warmly welcome back Year 8 students and their families. It has been lovely to see the students reconnecting with each other, and this bond is enhancing their skills to work collaboratively in pairs and small groups. We are very fortunate to welcome back Mrs Harvey and celebrate Ms Eccles and Ms Louise joining our team.

The students have been working hard to increase their technology skills, learning to access work activities on the Connect Grid and Seesaw. This term the class is focusing on recognising their Identity, where in the world they belong and increasing their independence.
In Bush Rangers, students are learning to identify risks and hazards, when working outdoors and what Personal, Protective Clothing and Equipment (PPCE) can keep them safe. These skills will be applied, when working outdoors, collecting litter around the school and during our visits to Bibra Lake Regional Reserve, this term. Students are enjoying a variety of selected option classes, these include; Art, Music, STEAM, PE, D&T and Dance.

We would like to acknowledge and thank, each student. They have returned and settled into a new routine and are to be commended on the high standard of positive teamwork and responsibility displayed. Well done!
We look forward to a busy and exciting year.
Kind regards
Lorraine Vann, Annmarie Harvey, Chanel Eccles and Hailey Louise
Hello and welcome to the new year 7 students and families, it has already been a busy and exciting term 1, 2022. Our ESC9 class consists of Hanna, Halo, Kelly, Abdul, Dkhan, Maleyk, Chris and Connor, joined by Miss Gage, Miss Mitchell, Miss Chatfield and Mrs Sajjay. On Fridays we have Mrs Sutherland as our teacher for the day for Science, Maths and Work Skills.

After getting to know each other and our new routines and expectations, we are now diving deep into our exciting programs and curriculum. These have included our Literacy Direct Instruction (DI) and Emergent Literacy groups each morning, Maths, Health, Science and many more!
Some of us were feeling a little anxious and nervous about all the changes that come with beginning high school, but we are all enjoying our new and exciting classes, and meeting new people. Our favourites so far have been Home Economics, Maths, PE, visiting the library and our Bush Ranger lessons.
Miss Gage.
We have begun 2022 with a bright new star joining our classroom. We welcome Clare to our mix and have already made fast friends with her.
So far these students are enjoying Year 8, going to lots of interesting option classes including; music, STEAM, Computers, Digitech, phys ed, home economics and D&T. We are very busy each week, taking part in many educational opportunities and having a laugh when we can!

COVID Restrictions have kept us from going out on CBL, but we’re pushing ahead with our international cooking in ASDAN with Life Skills each Friday. Our Literacy focus is learning all about Charlie & The Chocolate Factory, the students have invented their own chocolate factories, snack bars and have provide in-depth character descriptions.
Below are some thoughts from our Year 8’s about their favourite moments so far:

All of our students have been incredibly resilient with wearing their masks during school time and I must commend them on their dedication and thank them for always reminding me!
Stay tuned for more adventures!
ESC 10 Crew
The start of the year has been very smooth sailing so far, with the boys of ESC 11 working hard to lay down the foundations for the rest of the year. We have had a lot of new experiences and challenges thrown our way, however, everyone in the classroom has been very resilient and has tackled these challenges head on, filled with courage and wearing a big smile.
We have spent the first few weeks getting to know each other and I have been pleasantly surprised at the high level of good manners and gratitude the boys have all portrayed. Every morning I am greeted with eight shiny grins and a bombardment of “Hello Mr C!” “How are you today Mr C?” “Guess what I did Mr C!?” all of which I am always grateful to hear and engage in further conversation.
Thanks to the assistance of our lovely EAs Mrs Bruns, Ms Harcourt and Ms Hewer, our classroom has managed to settle in nicely and we are well and truly underway with lessons filled with creativity, eagerness to learn, a little bit of adventure and a whole lot of positive energy.
I cannot wait for the year ahead!
Mr Calasse
What a great start to the new academic year! ESC 12 students were all ready to take up the challenges for 2022. All students wore masks back to school and since then have been wearing them with great self- responsibility. The ESC 12 team of staff and students has been working very hard to brush up their skills using ‘Microsoft Teams’ learning new skills for Remote Learning. The students have been busy learning about ‘Celebrations around the World’ and have been learning about Chinese Culture, Traditions and Celebrations in HASS. Students made Chinese fried rice and spring rolls. In Science, they have been investigating the texture of different materials and classifying them according to their properties.

We successfully participated in our first Community Based Learning to Cockburn Gateways using public transport. Home Economics has kick started well with toasties and nachos. Our Bush Rangers have been practising the code of conduct and standing respectfully while the national anthem is being played. In art and craft the students have made Chinese lanterns and dragons. In Protective Behaviours students have been working on feelings, identifying the different Zones of Regulation and identifying strategies to cope with their feelings. They also participated in a webinar on eSafety conducted by the eSafety Commissioner through the Department of Education. During Computer lessons the students have learned how to log in to their student portal, go to Microsoft Teams, make PPT presentations and send an email.
Well Done, ESC 12 students for working very hard and been following the USTAR values! A big thank you to my amazing EAs Mrs Blacklock, Mrs Owen and Ms Brewer for their contribution in making these first few weeks of school a success. I would also like to thank all the families for their support and time to help their children connect on Teams from home. I look forward to working collaboratively throughout the year.
Mrs Khosla
What a busy and exciting start to the 2022 school year it has been for all the students and staff in ESC 13.
During the first week of school, ESC 13 students and staff participated in fun, getting-to-know-you and team building activities. Students learned about their peers and staff through a range of engaging activities, including People Bingo, Two Truths and One Lie and Selfie posters. The Great Egg Challenge team building exercise turned out to be a huge success, with no eggs broken!
Students have begun their P Units in Maths and English, which focus on providing real life tasks with transferable literacy and numeracy skills. In English, students have explored rules in the community, as well as focusing on enhancing their communication skills to support workplace learning experiences. In Maths, students are reinforcing their everyday numeracy skills such as counting, using ordinal numbers and counting tallies.

For practical life skills, our focus this term is Cooking. Students have really enjoyed exploring different recipes on their Ipads, and then cooking one recipe every Friday. The level of cooking skills has been very impressive and it’s evident we have some budding Nigella Lawsons and Jamie Olivers in the making.
Well done ESC 13 on such a positive and enthusiastic start to the 2022 school year. Keep up the good work.
ESC 14 has hard a busy start to the year, and students have hit the ground running. We are fortunate to have an awesome, supportive team with Miss Breggar, Miss Heras, Mrs Randall and Ms Morgan. We are looking forward to Mrs Tan joining us later on in the term.
Students have begun their P Units which focus on providing real life tasks with transferable skills. In English, students have begun their research of rules and laws, and why they are important in the community. In Maths, students are using the TransPerth journey planner in preparation for community based learning excursions. They have been practising entering the journey and working out the travel time and costs per zone.
The Zones of Regulations Program helps students to identify how they are feeling and also take steps to self-regulating their emotions when they are not feeling classroom ready. This will be supported by the URSTRONG Friendship Program, which teaches students the difference between healthy and unhealthy friendships, and what they can do to problem solve issues more independently. This program also enhances their ability to make safe and acceptable choices, with a focus on social skills and the possible outcomes of both positive and negative decision-making.

Community based learning outings will take place shortly to support students effectively use public transport, practise road safety and provide opportunities to use their SmartRiders and purchase their own lunch. The focus of BushRangers this year is first aid. Students have taken part in a St Johns incursion already this term, reinforcing their knowledge of DR ABC. They will also learn the difference between an accident and emergency, and the procedure to follow when making a 000 call.
In preparation for online learning, students are practising logging on to Microsoft Teams and Seesaw so they can access their assignments and activities. Well done to all students showing improved independence using these online platforms.
With such a great start to the year, we can’t wait to see what exciting things are in store for us!
Mrs Megrail and Team
In ESC 17 we have had a fantastic start to the year. I must commend all students for settling into their new classroom, with all new staff in such a positive way. We have hit the ground running and the students have been very busy enhancing their knowledge on how to use Teams, in case they are required to work from home. It has been great to see all students take on a new challenge and learn new skills.
We have been sure to make use of our classroom kitchen this year by making pikelets, fried rice, to celebrate Chinese New Year, Choc Chip cookies and Choc Chip muffins. Learning different cooking skills has been a highlight of the students so far this term.
The Year 9 students have also had the opportunity to go swimming at Coogee Marina each Friday as part of the sports program. This has been a great way to end each week with a refreshing swim, especially during the hot weather we have been having.
I have been very pleased with how the class has begun 2022 and look forward to the year to come. I would like to thank my wonderful team of Kym Buchanan, Candace Botha and Edith Murugan who have been such a great support to myself and the students. We are all very lucky to have them in our class.
Jack Drennan
SPECIALIST CLASSES EMMA LEONARD
What a wonderful start to the 2022 school year! I am a new teacher here at Leeming High School Education Support Centre, and I’m thoroughly loving my new role at this fantastic school. I teach all the Year 7 students, plus a Year 11 options class for Home Economics on Thursdays. The student’s enthusiasm for cooking has been wonderful to observe. I am so excited about sharing my love of cooking! We have started the year by learning important skills about being safe in the kitchen. The students are learning how to locate and use various pieces of kitchen equipment. We have also focused on how to maintain a safe and hygienic space when cooking in the kitchen. So far, we have made several types of toasties and nachos.

On Tuesdays, I teach Computing with a range of classes across the school. Once again, I have been impressed with the student’s willingness to learn. The important computer skills we have focused on so far; logging on correctly, using Office 365 to access various apps, accessing emails, using Word to create a table and list, creating a quiz through Forms, creating files on One Drive, saving documents correctly, and various typing skills. The students engage well with the technology and I’m enjoying watching their skills develop as the weeks progress.
I am lucky enough to work alongside Miss Anne Lersdejsakul (Miss L), who supports the students and their learning for most of my classes. A big ‘thank you’ to Miss L for all her wonderful efforts.
Please enjoy looking at the photos showing what we have been up to in ICT and Home Economics.
PHYS ED RECHELLE HAWKES, JENNA ALLOMES & JENELLE HEARD
It has been a warm start to 2022 in the PE department! Year 7’s and 8’s have been enjoying learning basketball skills during Physical Education sessions. Classes have walked to Striker (Leeming Recreation Centre), having the opportunity to play basketball on the indoor courts.
Lucky for the year 9’s and 10’s, we have spent our Fridays participating in the Beach Swimming and Safety program at Port Coogee Marina. Students have been learning about beach safety, by identifying potential hazards and reducing risks for themselves and others. Students have also been learning how to do ‘tow rescues’ and how to call for help, if they are in danger.
Year 11 and 12 students have been learning basketball skills during Physical Education sessions. It has been fantastic to see so many students keen to learn and develop different skills. Well done to all students on a massive improvement in just a few weeks! We definitely have some basketball super stars in the group!
Unfortunately, the interschool basketball carnival has been cancelled due to COVID restrictions. We are looking at hosting an ‘in house’ basketball tournament later in the term so students still get the opportunity to compete in games. We will keep students and teachers updated with relevant information.
We have loved seeing students return to school with an awesome attitude and have thoroughly enjoyed welcoming our new students. We are looking forward to more amazing sporting achievements this term.

Miss Heard, Miss Allomes, Miss Hawkes and Ms Pereira
Welcome to all of the year 11s commencing the Authority Developed Workplace Learning Program. These students have transitioned from their initial work experience in year 10. We commenced our workplace program this year with a staggered start. Senior students and families have shown a great understanding and positivity to the program during this time. It was been wonderful, and we are very grateful for this support. Constantly we are engaging with a large number of workplaces to provide students with opportunities to engage in a variety of industry placements. School based programs in the interim are being carefully designed by the senior teachers to provide students with work simulated activities. This supports students to practice their work skills in preparation for returning to their industry placements.

We are excited to advise that we have some additional new host employers on board for this semester. They include Westcare Bassendean, Willetton Community Garden, Geometrics Hair Salon and The Little Parry Café. Students are settling into these work environments very well and the work teams have been super inviting.
During week 1, we celebrated two students signing up for school based traineeships. The host team at AYLA put on a lovely morning tea for the students and families on this day. We wish these students all the very best with their studies and practical placements.

Congratulations to Cris Dawson who has increased his employment with Runabout Metals. Cris is now working very hard with the team at the scrap metal yard, 3 days per week. Awesome effort Cris!
An extra special mention to Raymond, who has been successful in gaining employment on the school holidays, weekends and after school with Kumon and Adventure World. Way to go Raymond!
It is lovely to share so many positive achievements of the senior students from the first few weeks of term 1.
Super stars!!
Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays are our LEEMING LINK days here at Leeming ESC!
At both recess and lunch on these days, students can come and join in with many fun activities.
LEEMING LINK is located on the grassed area outside the ESC Kitchen/Laundry, or in our ESC 16 classroom next to the chickens, (if the weather is too hot or too rainy).
So far this term, we have practised our communication skills with ‘Conversation Ball’, kept cool with ‘Frozen Paint Art’, had some party fun with ‘Pass The parcel’, been creative to ‘Make A Valentine’s Puppy’, enjoyed tactile play with ‘Kinetic Sand’. Next week we have ‘Twister’ and ‘Make A Milkshake’ coming up.
Have a look at our LEEMING LINK Timetable for what’s ahead for the remainder of Term 1.
